The movie begins in France, where the villain and the prince of the aerial city (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) are on a airship with a baby. The sky thief sneaks onto the airship and kidnaps the baby, and Lupin III appears mid-way to steal the treasure. The girl sky thief, Yutika (voiced by Yui Ishikawa), fails to stop him and instead ends up slapping Lupin in a fit of rage, causing him to fall from the airship into the Seine River... Lupin, along with the baby and a crystal that marks the location of the sky clan’s treasure, returns to their base, where he discovers there's a baby in his bag. This leads to a nightmare for the two grown men, Lupin and Jigen, as they were just doing their job of stealing. Lupin and Jigen carry out several heists with the baby in tow until Inspector Koichi Zenigata arrives in Rome following Lupin's trail. Because of Lupin, the villain and the prince summon Zenigata to retrieve the baby. On the other hand, it turns out the villain's secretary is Fujiko Mine. During one heist, Lupin and Jigen are chased by an old uncle and escape into the Colosseum in ancient Rome. Yutika takes the opportunity to retrieve the baby and escapes back to the base, but Lupin follows her. Unexpectedly, a traitor appears within the sky thief group, and in the end, the leader (voiced by Takayuki Sugō) blows up the base in a last stand, while Lupin and Jigen manage to escape with the baby and the female lead...
