Yang Qianhua (played by Zhang Jiahui) arrives in Hong Kong and seeks refuge under his aunt who runs a nightclub, becoming a waiter. In the nightclub, manager Uncle Chang (played by Ng Man-tat) and Pao Ge (played by Anthony Wong) share power. Many legends about Pao Ge circulate in the underworld, and Qianhua sees Pao Ge as his idol. Pao Ge has long loved the dancer Qiqi (played by Yao Leyi), but unfortunately, Qiqi cannot tolerate his rough temper and ultimately chooses to leave. While Pao Ge is in a state of depression, Uncle Chang schemes to drive him out, taking full control of the nightclub. After Pao Ge leaves, Uncle Chang sets his sights on Qianhua, who, unaware of the trap, finds himself in deep debt. Homeless and wandering the streets, Qianhua unexpectedly encounters Pao Ge. They discuss Uncle Chang with indignation and, driven by revenge and a desire to reclaim what they have lost, Qianhua and Pao Ge decide to join forces to eliminate Uncle Chang.
