Tokyo, a world-renowned metropolis. After breaking up with her boyfriend, Sarah (played by He Chao-yi) comes here seeking to buy a house and have a short, peaceful holiday, but things take a turn for the worse. Due to the sudden visit of the U.S. President to Tokyo, her originally booked hotel is fully booked. The real estate company places her in a very dilapidated and eerie private lodging called “minipaku,” which is managed by an elderly woman (played by Kazuko Shirakawa). On her first night there, Sarah feels extremely uneasy and terrified, plagued by nightmares and falling ill, and is forced to stay longer. To her shock, she discovers a complete skeleton being devoured by parasites. A senior investigator (played by Kazuya Takahashi) takes over the investigation and also finds that this lodging is involved in multiple bizarre missing persons cases, with strange happenings that leave him unable to solve Sarah's predicament. The house, shrouded in mystery with an unknown history, has a certain connection to Sarah. When the lights of the “minipaku” go out, frightening and unsettling visions envelop her, becoming increasingly real. A series of terrifying and bizarre nightmares unfolds, leaving her uncertain whether this is a beginning or an end, as if everything is preordained.
