Late at night, Ruoshan chats online with her mother, Jiawen, and hears strange noises coming from the living room. She goes to check, only to be forcibly dragged into the living room by a pervert. Ruoshan struggles and escapes back to her room to seek help from Jiawen. Jiawen sees that the pervert has a scorpion tattoo on his back but feels powerless to help, watching helplessly through the computer's video feed as Ruoshan is assaulted. Later, at the police station, Ruoshan identifies Qiao Ziyang as her assailant, but the semen test results do not match Ziyang, and he has no tattoos, so Ziyang naturally denies everything. Outside the police station, Ruoshan encounters Ziyang, and they get into an altercation. Jiawen’s earnest persuasion leads Ruoshan to question whether Jiawen believes her, and in a fit of shame and anger, she jumps off a building to commit suicide. Jiawen finds her daughter lying in a pool of blood, regretting not believing Ruoshan and decides to find a way to expose Ziyang's true nature. One night, the pervert really comes back, but he is driven away by Ziyang. At that point, Jiawen believes she misunderstood Ziyang and invites him out for dinner to express her thanks. Just as they are caught up in a romantic atmosphere, Jiawen suddenly notices Ziyang's shoes are stained with Ruoshan's fluorescent nail polish and questions him. Ziyang reveals his true self and tries to assault Jiawen. In response, Jiawen grabs a knife and wounds Ziyang, feeling that Ruoshan has finally avenged herself. However, Jiawen receives a call from the police, and the situation turns out to be unexpected…
