In a busy corner of Taipei, there lives a soon-to-retire woman, Ye Lanxin (played by Bao Qijing). Outside of her family, she is an exemplary career woman, running a children's art classroom; at home, she is the perfect good woman, a flawless wife, mother, daughter-in-law, and daughter. Like a spinning top, she tries to balance everything, wishing to meet all the demands placed upon her by those around her. Her recently retired husband, Luo Dawei (played by Kou Shihun), is gradually taking over every corner of their home with his antique collection; her elderly mother, Sun Qinfang (played by Yu Ji'an), lives alone in a nursing home, her memories and awareness fading, often reminding her daughter to take her home; her younger daughter, Luo Jianing (played by Ke Jiayan), suddenly returns due to her precarious marriage and job, turning the home into a refuge for abandoned belongings; her son, Luo Jiayu, who is far abroad, is uncertain about whether to move the whole family back to Taiwan for work. Although he is a symbol of honor for the Luo family, he is always absent. Each family member has their own needs: the space in the home is constantly being encroached upon, and as Lanxin loses the space she desires, she feels like a failing mother, daughter, and wife, so she begins to fantasize about buying a house to settle the whole family. One day, Lanxin sees a high-priced new house, and her best friend, Ah Xiang (played by Lu Yijing), along with student Guanting (played by Li Chun), suggest a short-term high-yield investment that could seemingly solve all problems at once. Unconsciously straying from rationality, Lanxin struggles to move forward, and begins to blur the lines between dream and reality due to the pressure of her circumstances. Can she find a breathing space between dreams and imagination?
