A comedy film this year written, directed, and starring Cannes Best Actor Roschdy Zem. Ismael is Arab, Clara is Jewish. They meet and fall in love, enjoying happiness together. When Clara becomes pregnant in the fall, everything gets even better. However, when they reveal their relationship to their families, it creates a stir in two racially distinct households. Roschdy Zem was born in the French city of Zenata, a descendant of Moroccan immigrants, and has a passion for acting and football. His roles in "My Little Company" in 1999 and "The Little Lieutenant" in 2005 earned him two César nominations for Best Supporting Actor. This year, "Indigenes" becomes a new milestone for Roschdy, as he shares the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival with four other male leads. The female lead is the rising Belgian star Cécile de France, who also stars this year in "The Concert" alongside Gérard Depardieu.
