The story takes place on Christmas Eve in 1900, when Jim (voiced by Thomas Mann) gives a purebred dog named Lady (voiced by Tessa Thompson) to his lover (played by Kiersey Clemons) as a Christmas gift. Thus, Lady grows up in a loving and happy family. One day, the mistress discovers she is pregnant, and the entire family's attention shifts to the unborn baby, leaving Lady feeling neglected. Finally, one day, unable to bear it any longer, Lady decides to run away from home. The outside world is not as simple as Lady imagined, and soon she encounters danger. Fortunately, a stray dog named Tramp (voiced by Justin Theroux) extends a helping paw to Lady, and under Tramp's guidance, Lady experiences the joy of freedom for the first time.
