Kim Jong-pae (played by Go Soo) and Song Jung-yan (played by Jeon Do-yeon) are an ordinary couple who run an auto repair shop together and have a lovely daughter named Hye-rim. Life is certainly happy, but it is not without its storms. Jong-pae once acted as a guarantor for his friend, Soo-jae, but when Soo-jae committed suicide by hanging, all of his enormous debt of 200 million won fell onto Jong-pae. In order to pay off the debt quickly, Jung-yan sought help from Jong-pae's junior, Wen-dao. Wen-dao claimed to have discovered a gold mine in Europe and needed someone to bring the raw stones back to the country, promising a generous reward. Jung-yan took him at his word, but little did she know she would be caught at the French customs, where a large amount of drugs was found in her suitcase. Following this, Jung-yan was detained, and in a foreign land where communication was impossible, she not only endured immense loneliness and fear but also faced constant humiliation and despair. For the next two years, Jong-pae fought tirelessly for his wife's innocence. The long journey home for his wife gradually captured the hearts of everyone in the country... This film is based on a true story.
