The story describes young Wei Hu (Zhang Yi) whose family is robbed by Zuo Jinglong (Lin Qiao), Ying Tian, and Yang Gang (Gu Feng). His parents and younger brother are killed, and his sister Wei Yun (Zhao Xinyan) is taken away by Zuo. Suddenly, his family is destroyed; filled with rage, Wei Hu sets their home on fire and decides to wander the world seeking revenge. He roams from place to place and meets a mysterious expert (Yang Zhiqing), whom he honors as a master. After several years of training, he sets off to find his enemies. In Ji'er Town, he encounters a weak girl, Xiangxiang (Qin Ping), who is forced into prostitution, and he intervenes to help her, driving off the perpetrators..."The Soul-Bell" is a work by veteran director Yue Feng, and its plot is adapted from the Italian cowboy film "Giuni Zuma," yet the entire movie exceeds expectations with excellent atmosphere.
