Yun Feiyang (played by Xu Shaoqiang) appears to be just a lowly servant, but his true identity is the illegitimate son of the Wudang master Qingsong (played by Wang Rong). Behind the scenes, Qingsong has taught Yun Feiyang many martial arts techniques. Qingsong has a sworn enemy, Dugu Wudi (played by Wan Ziliang), with whom he has been in combat for many years without a clear victor. Qingsong recently took in a disciple named Fu Yushu (played by Liu Yong), not realizing that Yushu is actually the grandson of his enemy, the master of the Xiaoyao Valley. Yushu's only goal is to learn martial arts in order to seek revenge for his family. Yushu kills Qingsong and takes his position, framing Yun Feiyang for the crime, making Yun Feiyang a target of hatred in the jianghu (martial arts world). He is forced to go on the run. During his escape, Yun Feiyang is severely injured and is saved by a woman who turns out to be his half-sister. At this low point in his life, Yun Feiyang decides to redouble his efforts, diligently practicing the hard-earned Tian Can skill to seek revenge for his biological father.
